Rose shorts: Gamiss* | Distressed sweater: Choies | Feather neacklace: Rosegal*| Belt: vintage | Zipper platforms: Zaful*

This outfit is very me and very back to the roots. The center piece are my brand new rose shorts with lace. I love rose prints as they are a bit vintage, a bit romantic, a bit gothic and always feminine and beautiful. Their cut is great as they are high-waisted and a bit longer. For me (and maybe for you) the length of shorts is crucial. I have skinny legs but comparatively wide hips. So depending on where the shorts “cut” my legs they can make my thighs look very slim or huge in comparison to my skinny calves. So my tip is to always make sure your shorts don’t end at the widest part of your thighs to create a flattering shape. I can’t wait to incorporate these rose shorts into some summer outfits as soon as the weather gets better again. Currently I’d definitely recommend a warm coat on top!

I definitely wanted to pair the shorts with a comfy top so I added my very distressed black sweater. I always love to create some contrast so I figured the destroyed fabric of the sweater would go nicely with the delicate roses. They also required a vintage belt (the one vintage belt I own, haha) and fishnet tights. I’m such a fan of the rose print + fishnet tights combo and I don’t even know why. Maybe it’s because this combo is a great mix of sexiness and innocence.

And then the platforms. They are totally my kind of shoes! They are super chunky and have this cute little zipper detail. I love platforms even more in winter as your feet are literally just further away from the cold ground which is an advantage. Also, I didn’t own platform pumps before so these are a very worthy addition to the collection. If you’re interested in getting them I’d recommend getting them a size larger than usual. I already know that Zaful shoes tend to run a little smaller so I already went one size up which was perfect.

To top this outfit off I chose this beautiful feather choker. I wanted something nature-inspired to go with the rose shorts. This necklace is a very versatile piece that goes with pretty much any outfit. You can also easily layer it with one or more longer necklaces. It’s also gonna be such a boho summer accessory – can’t wait to wear it during the warmer months.

Hope you guys enjoyed this outfit post! What’s your favorite print?
