Outfit inspiration Minimalism meets Color

Knitted crop sweater (old): H&M | Multicolor necklaces: Zaful* | Multicolor watch: Gamiss* | Platform heels: Salt & Pepper

In today’s outfit inspiration post I’m wearing one of my all time favorite sweaters. In fact it already made an appearance in one of my outfit inspiration posts way back in 2014. Weirdly enough I bought this knit sweater years ago but at first wasn’t sure if a crop sweater was really a smart idea. However, I soon realized cropped doesn’t mean not suitable for winter. With a top underneath and high-waisted pants it’s super warm plus it accentuates the waist beautifully. Also, it definitely elongates the legs and that’s what we want, right? Crop sweaters and high-waist pants are a match made in heaven. All in all a crop sweater is a great choice if you want to create a very feminine silhouette.

As you know I’m very much into monochrome outfits. This time I decided to add some subtle colorful elements. I love how the necklaces and the watch add a little splash of color without pushing themselves to the fore. Even layering the whole set of three necklaces doesn’t make them look overwhelming. They simply appear as a consistent whole.

I have to admit – I don’t really need a watch. I’ll look at my phone to know what time it is. Or I’ll avoid having to know what time it is altogether… if possible. But watches make kick-ass accessories, don’t you think? They look so grown-up and as if we’re in control of our lives (we totally are, right? ๐Ÿ˜€ ). Attentive observers will already have noticed that I’m wearing my watch on my right arm. I know it doesn’t make incredibly much sense if you’re right-handed but I don’t know… it just seems right to me. Absolutely no pun intended.

Does anyone else wear their watch on their right arm?
