Yes, it’s me. I’m not dead. There will be a post going into the details of my absence but for now I have some brand new outfit inspo for you. I have updated my wardrobe quite a bit throughout the past couple of weeks so there will be a lot of newness soon.
Let’s get started with one of my fav spring outfits today! In my last post I introduced you to my trusty Kadell backpack which has been my everyday companion since January. Although I’m quite the backpack person I often feel as if an elegant purse is a better match for a feminine and romantic look. This rosey brown Kadell purse * goes so well with the romantic looks I’m loving at the moment. It has the perfect size for me as my phone, wallet etc. fit in there easily while it’s not too large and heavy and therefore goes well with an elegant look. I love how Kadell bags look so much more expensive than they actually are. No, the blossom does not come with the bag – when I saw those beautiful trees in full bloom I simply couldn’t resist and had to pick myself a little accessory for my bag.
I have been obsessed with cold shoulder tops for a while as they have this perfect amount of subtle sexiness to them. This top/sweater has been a real favorite ever since I got it a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty surprised to notice that a Subdued store had suddenly opened in my hometown – although I had heard of the brand before I hadn’t been aware that they had absolutely amazing stuff. I was so happy that this store had suddenly appeared that I went in and got a ton of items to signalize the store owners that it was a great choice to open a store right here 😀 This is one of the tops I got and I’ve been loving it to bits. Wearing it with a choker and a coin necklace is my favorite combo.
The skirt is from H&M and I figured it might be a great piece for either casual looks or for dressing down an elegant look. The skirt, tights and heels combo always feels very dressy to me so I love being able to dress it down a bit. The cord material is perfect for that purpose as it has a very 80s-ey vintage vibe to it.
…and then I went out to shoot the look. I didn’t have any expectations and then I encountered these trees in full bloom. I was completely smitten and it was probably the moment I realized that another long and cold winter was finally gone for good. Spring does not make me happy – it makes me downright euphoric. My head is so full of fresh ideas, full of images of beautiful warm nights filled with the scent of lilac and the sound of cicadas beneath an endless starry sky. I might at some point move to a country with no winter – any recommendations?
Have a great week everyone and check back soon for my life update post!
