Today I’m excited to show you one of my fav pieces in my closet! Summer was recently taking a bit of a break so I was glad to have some stylish knit to bundle up in. What’s so special about this sweater though?
It once belonged to the ever so lovely Sarah Loven, one of my fav fellow bloggers who has been a huge inspiration to me for quite a while. When I first spotted this pink oversized sweater on her Instagram in December last year I instantly fell in love with it. Little did I know she would be hosting a spontaneous little giveaway a couple of months later giving her followers the chance to win virtually anything from her Insta feed. As you might already have guessed by now I ended up being the lucky winner of my dream sweater from Boho Buys.
As I have fallen in love again with pink lately it’s a perfect addition to my sweater collection. Plus, it’s oversized and distressed – come on, this sweater and I were simply meant for each other.
So as July decided to turn into November for a week I wasn’t even that sad as I could finally throw on my new fav sweater. I have to admit I do enjoy rainy days. The sound of rain and distant thunder have such a calming and soothing effect on me. The area where I live is pretty hilly so on rainy days the fog gets caught between the trees on the hills and mingles with the heavy clouds. The mist above the fields and rivers seems to swallow all sounds so it creates its very own kind of silence. Naturally on days like this there are very few people around so I love to venture out to take in this special atmosphere. To me it always feels like the fresh cool air has something cleansing to it. It makes me want to re-think old habits and it puts me in a deep state of tranquility and peace of mind. I was lucky enough to catch some sun between two thunderstorms to shoot this look and breathe in some fresh forest air.
What’s your favorite rainy day look?
