This grunge inspired outfit is a real back to the roots look for me. Although I’m getting older and although I sometimes prefer dressing like a grown-up now I just can’t get over how much I love distressed things. If it wasn’t for job interviews and family dinners I probably wouldn’t own any non-distressed clothes. I already have the same pair of studded shorts in grey. They were my very trusty companions at the Lollapalooza festival in Berlin. I love them so much I got the blue ones as well. Just be aware of the sizing – they run very very small. I’m wearing a size XL here.
There’s no better match for distressed denim than a band tee. I only own a few and this one is by far my favorite. It actually reminds me of my computer graphics class. We were supposed to 3d model the solar system. As for the rotation of the moon the instruction file just said: “Please refer to Pink Floyd’s record ‘The Dark Side of The Moon’.” Some professors do have amazing humor. But it also reminds me of listening to said record while hanging out with my friends playing Monopoly or just chilling.
It usually doesn’t feel right for me to wear shorts without tights or socks. They just belong together. I chose overknee socks here and of course the grungiest platforms I could find. I got them second hand a long time ago and they were already totally destroyed when I bought them. They are the perfect shoes for grunge outfits though!
As for accessories I added some of my favs like the belt bracelet and the 3d printed Chronos ring. Some jewelry will simply go with everything. Investing in this kind of pieces is definitely worth it!
