Anyone who isn’t in love with Airbnb? Anyone? Anyone? No? Good. I fell head over heels for the concept of renting someone else’s home the instant I heard of it for the first time. A couple of Airbnb stays later this love has only grown. Airbnb allows us to stay in the most amazing houses and apartments without spending a fortune and it saved my life on many trips to places I usually couldn’t even afford.

As I’m planning quite a few trips during the next couple of months my Airbnb wishlists are growing and growing. So today I would love to share with you some of the gems I have discovered. Maybe this list can spark some wanderlust 🙂

By the way: You can save 30 € (32$) on your first booking with Airbnb through this link.

Now here we go…

Cozy Guesthouse on a Farm, Hella, Iceland

Winters in Iceland are pretty darn cold. That’s fine though if we can chill out in this beautiful viking-inspired house on a farm. It’s super spacious with 12 beds (!) so feel free to bring along the entire family or bachelorette party crew.

Shipping Container, Whitehorse, Canada

Yep, that’s a shipping container. And there’s a pile of firewood to battle cold Canadian winter nights. I simply love the idea of repurposing something that originally wasn’t supposed to be a house. Plus, the minimalistic decor is so on point!

IKEBUKURO Japanese “Mingei” room, Toshima-ku, Japan

If we had to imagine a typical Japanese apartment this is what it would look like, right? Japan is so on my travel bucket list and is surely going to happen during the next couple of years. Can I please live in this Airbnb then?

The Old Church, Brisbane, Australia

If you’re not that much into winter then luckily there’s this other hemisphere on our planet. As you can see, this old church in Brisbane, Australia was turned into an Airbnb that you can now rent. There’s room for up to 7 people in this super unique place!

Muriwai Beach Cabin, Auckland, New Zealand

Speaking of the southern hemisphere… How cute is this little cabin in the bush of New Zealand? A tiny house with a loft bed (!) in my fav country? Yes please – when can I move in?

Unique cozy city aparment, London, United Kingdom

I’ve been to London many times as it’s one of my fav cities. However, I never got to stay in such an amazing place. I probably wouldn’t wanna move out anymore.

Rustic cottage with amazing views, Boscastle, United Kingdom

This wonderfully cozy cottage would be my place to go for some peace and relaxation. If you’re living in the city like me you probably know the need to just… get away and recharge.

Super Spacious Inner City Boho Basecamp, Cape Town, South Africa

Now if you just saw that little cottage and thought “Nah, too tiny, too winter” then I’ve got you covered with this spacious, bright apartment located in Cape Town. I just looked it up… they have 25 ° C / 77 ° F there. I’m jealous.

Modern Glass Tree House, Atlanta, United States

This glass tree house is most definitely on a gazillion other people’s wish list as well but I just couldn’t not feature it here. If I were rich and famous I’d buy it… or maybe I’ll just rent it for a night at some point 😉

Beautiful Brand New Williamsburg Apartment, New York, United States

This is actually what I’m TRYING to make my own apartment look like 😀 I love the mixture of minimalism and boho – this is the kind of apartment I would/will rent for exploring NYC.

Dreamy Treehouse, Emskirchen, Germany

This beautifully dreamy tree house isn’t situated that far from where I live. It would make the perfect accomodation for a little weekend getaway in winter. Who wants to go?

Nature Home Retreat, Pokhara, Nepal

Inspired by a friend who’s going to Nepal this winter I discovered this cozy retreat. I don’t know – I don’t always feel drawn to the fancy, luxurious places but to those who have their own unique atmosphere to them.

Hope you guys enjoyed this little winter getaway wishlist!

In which one of these Airbnbs would you like to stay? Let me know in the comments!
